my better half is cooking, i'm clicking like crazy and feeling really good about next week, even though it sounds like it's going to be a hectic one (filming & shooting). but our furry companion just discovered catnip and he's hilarious! so, all in all, another great week.

playing with typetodesign is as fun as predicted.
it's a nice outcome for 36 days of type, no? all wrapped up in a tiny, simple site that's just so darn adorable. the resolution helps too, these could easily turn into great prints.

i finally got into society6. i know, it took a while. i've always admired them from a respectable distance, but anna dorfman's last post reminded me it's such a quick, easy way to get our small design experiments made into real life stuff.
can't wait to upload one or more files & get to meet these babies in real life. i'm thinking art prints, mugs or blankets.

kelli anderson is SO fantastic, it really deserves a case study, not a mention. great designer & member of adobe creative residency, i jump for joy every time she updates her blog with another amazing project.
she experiments, researches, comes up with innovative products and has such great aesthetic sense. see my jealousy seeping in just a bit?

i may or may not be saying that any article referencing fight club has a good point or two. this one has 6, and i'm not even halfway through it.
it also starts off with what i found to be a pretty cool exercise - listing 5 impressive things about yourself. not who you are, but what you can do. cheesy, but different.

i'm not generally one to be impressed by video-experiment-type-things, but i feel like canon australia have hit a really good streak with the Lab.

a recently released digital library is like an amazing gift. this one, from the NY public library, is dreamy. i always find myself looking for flowers, old illustrations or publications, stories, all of that stuff i admire in brick and mortar libraries so rarely.
so much history is a beautiful thing.

visuell is a pretty great romanian blog by the talented lady sinziana pop.
her aesthetics are, i think, spot on. she's also warm & inviting, so her posts are informative and so easy to digest! she hunts down awesome products, imagines herself living and breathing beautiful designs and puts it all on a tray, ready to be served.
